FLY HIGH INTO OUR WOODLAND OF WORDS!

Welcome to our new and improved magical woodland library.  Inspired by World Book Day 2018, children across all year groups were asked to create a design to revitalise our slightly tired looking reading space. The response was phenomenal, demonstrated by the array of entries on display here - there were over 70 designs created by over 120 children!

Choosing a winner was nearly impossible. However, the Hove Junior's staff voted and chose Evie and Katie’s (both 6R) Magical Woodland, along with Larnii’s (4G) whole library revamp. The designs were combined together, along with features from many other entries. It was then brought to life by the winning participants, as well as over 30 other children from Year 3 to Year 6; whether painting backgrounds, trees, magical creatures, making mobiles, writing quotes and so on. It truly was a Hove Junior's team effort, which is why we also decided every child in the school would contribute their own ‘Reading Leaf’ to decorate our tree’s branches.

Huge congratulations to all who helped bring this project to life. Now grab a spot in the shade in our magical woodland, and lose yourself in a fabulous book!
